CBSE Class 10 Science Term 1 Syllabus (Revised) 2021-22

The CBSE Board has released the Revised Science Syllabus 2021-22 for CBSE class 10 on its official website. The Board has divided the Science syllabus into two terms (Term 1 and Term 2). And the Board Exam for Term 1 CBSE Class 10 Science will be held in November-December. Here you will get to know the detailed revised syllabus of Class 10 Science for Term 1. A.You should find the pH of the below-given samples by using the pH paper/universal indicator.
  • Dilute Hydrochloric Acid
  • Dilute Ethanoic Acid solution
  • Dilute Sodium Bicarbonate solution
  • Dilute NaOH Solution
  • Lemon Juice
  • Water
B.You should study the properties of acids and bases (HCl & NaOH) when they react with:
  • Zinc Metal
  • Litmus solution(Blue/Red)
  • Solid Sodium Carbonate
C.You should perform and observe the below reactions and classify them into
  1. Combination reaction
  2. Decomposition reaction
  3. Displacement reaction
  4. Double displacement reaction
  • The action of water on quick lime
  • Iron nails kept in Copper Sulphate solution
  • The action of heat on Ferrous Sulphate crystals (FeSO4)
  • The reaction between Sodium Sulphate (Na2SO4) and Barium Chloride solution.
D.You should observe the action of Zn, Fe, Cu and AI metals on the below salt solutions:
  • ZnSO4(aq)  
  • FeSO4(aq)
  • CuSo4(aq)
  • AI2(SO4)3(aq)
Based on the above result you should arrange Zn, Fe, Cu and AI (metals) in the decreasing order of reactivity.                                                              E.You should show through an experiment that Carbon Dioxide is given out during respiration. F.You should determine the focal length of the Concave mirror and Convex lens by obtaining the image of a distant object. G.You should trace the path of a ray of light passing through a rectangular glass slab for different angles of incidence. And then measure the angle of incidence, angle of refraction, angle of emergence and interpret the result.
